Beaches of Miami Playa

Miami Playa has some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean.

The Miami Playa beaches, some of which have been awarded the European Union Blue Flag, are ideal for enjoying all types of water sports and also offer excellent facilities and services to ensure a perfect beach holiday.

• Playa Punta del Riu: A fine sandy beach with gentle waters, ideal for practising water sports, and not overcrowded during the summer months. It offers danger warning signs, bus and train services, parking, toilets, showers, waste disposal, beach cleaning, rental of water sports equipment and kiosks.

• Cala Bot: An urban beach which is not overcrowded during the summer months. It is difficult to access on foot and has no dedicated safety provisions. It has train and bus services, waste disposal and beach cleaning.

• Cala de les Sirenas: A small cove with golden sand in the centre of Miami Playa. Steps lead down to an attractive natural space with abundant vegetation and rock formations.

• Cala del Solitario: A pretty sandy bay dotted with vegetation. It is difficult to access on foot and there are no dedicated safety provisions. It has train and bus services, waste disposal and beach cleaning facilities.

• Cala del los Ángeles: A golden sandy bay which is difficult to access on foot and is not equipped with dedicated safety provisions. It offers train and bus services, waste disposal and beach cleaning.

• Cala Misterio: A quiet golden sandy cove which is not overcrowded during the summer months. It is difficult to access on foot and has no dedicated safety provisions. It offers train and bus services, waste disposal and beach cleaning.

• Playa de Cristal: A long and well-equipped beach with fine sand, a promenade and gentle waters. It has danger warning signs, Red Cross facilities, life-saving equipment, buses and train services, showers, waste disposal, beach cleaning, water sports equipment rental, kiosks and a diving area.

• Playa de L'Estany Gelat: A large golden sandy beach which, despite its generous size, is only equipped with basic facilities (lifeguard, Red Cross, waste disposal, showers and beach cleaning), making it less “touristy”. In addition to the beautiful sands, it is also close to a magnificent village which inspired some of the paintings by the artist Joan Miró.

• Playa de Peixerota: A large sandy beach in the village of Mont-Roig del Camp. There is a residential area right next to the beach made up predominately of summer houses and the beach is mainly used by these residents. It is next to a similar beach called Ruidecanyes. It offers danger warning signs, Red Cross facilities and other services such as showers, beach cleaning and waste disposal.
