Here we are known as a Holiday Rental Agency. Some people think we are a Real Estate Agency, and others think we're a Holiday Reservation Centre... And really, all of this is true.
But we want to talk to you about us. Tell you the story of Universal Holiday Centre.
It all started in 2000.
Stéphanie and Peter (the big bosses here) decided to join their forces and start a holiday rental business in Salou.
They rented a tiny office in the centre of Salou, with just 1 desk, 1 phone and 1 fax machine. (Online bookings were not yet in the picture).
The first accommodations were those of few friends and acquaintances.
Between both, they did everything: put on a suit to talk to property owners or an old pair of jeans when there was some painting or cleaning to do. They did it all.
The ball started rolling. Word of mouth is the best advertising. So they got more properties. More bookings. The Holiday Rental Business was booming.
Families with kids were starting to realize that renting an apartment was the most beneficial option for their holiday.
Competitors started to rise out of the blue... Things were getting tough. But they decided to keep going and in 2002 they launched the first website of Universal Holiday Centre.
A few years later, companies like Airbnb, Homeaway and Booking.com started to show up.
Every year the company got bigger. More property owners. A bigger office. The ultimate software to get it all done in a professional way, a better website, a super team and here we are now... 26 fantastic people making your holiday dreams on the Costa Dorada come true in one of our 300 accommodations.
The company 's philosophy has always remained the same: Take care of the accommodations as if they were ours and treat our customers the same way we want to be treated.
In fact, they spend every year a few days with their family in some of the accommodations. That way, they see what the client gets. In person. Ready to make things better at all times.
Now, we are a big busy family and we strongly believe that if you do what you love, you love what you do. :-))
And our clients know that.
We love to see them here year after year. See the kids grow up. Remembering about when they came the very first time, without the kids. And say that how time passes...!
